Our Values and Environmental Policy

The Stile Company is environmentally responsible, adhering to ethical guidelines in the projects it undertakes and endeavouring to work with sustainably produced materials in the design of features that will harmonise with and enhance their natural settings. We use appropriately locally provenanced native timbers (usually English oak and sweet chestnut) and plant material - and recycled materials where possible in our office. We encourage and help to maintain traditional and time honoured craft skills and techniques including for example, green wood-working, hand stone and letter-carving and blacksmithing.
